Bible Reading for 2017

Of all the New Year’s Resolutions made each year, none is more important that a renewed commitment to spend time in God’s Word. We are encouraging everyone to consider at least one reading plan for 2017.

The first plan, “The Supremacy of God’s Word,” takes us through Psalm 119 through the month of January. Each day, we will read about 8 verses — and almost all of them help us love God’s Word. You can access the plan here:

Another plan takes you through the entire Bible in less than a year. The plan leads you to read 6 days each week, going through a book of the Bible at a time along with a Psalm or chapter in Proverbs. A paper copy of the plan can be found here:

Electronic plans are available online at Bible.com or can be found on the popular You Version app (search for Discipleship Journal Book at a Time plan).

Spending more time in God’s Word is a good goal for 2017, and reading it together in community makes it even more meaningful.
